Theresa received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac College in Hamden CT. She has pediatric experience in the settings in early intervention/preschool /school age children since 1988. She worked for 5 years in Cayuga county treating children from birth to 21 in the clinic, homes and schools. She uses a wide variety of treatment strategies with a strong sensory foundation. She works for the Syracuse City School District full time and dedicates many hours for evaluation and treatment/s of children birth -21 through Children’s Therapy Network. Theresa has previous home care experience with children and adults. She currently provides services to early intervention, preschool, and school aged children. Occupational therapy services are being provided mainly in Onondaga County. She works with children diagnosed with various delays and disorders that are demonstrating a variety of sensory, motor, visual adaptive equipment needs. She works well using a transdisciplinary approach to helping children and their families. This includes other therapists, teachers, doctors working as a team when necessary to best meet the needs of the children. She has supervised several COTA’s and OT students throughout her 23 years. She is trained in The Handwriting Without Tears Program and has attended several conferences and continuing education courses to stay up to date with treatment strategies including sensory processing /attention deficit disorders/feeding disorders.
